Mobile RV Repair & Trailer Lighting near Lake Mead

We repair RVs and fix boat trailer wiring and lights around Lake Mead, including areas near Boulder Beach, Las Vegas Bay and Callville Bay. Boaters and campers often need trailer wiring, lighting and A/C work in an area far from shops.

Do you work at Lake Mead?

We serve the Lake Mead area, but it is a recreation area with its own rules, gates and limited road access. We can often meet you at a campground or trailhead, a nearby parking area or a private property, and we confirm what is allowed before the visit.

Calls out here tend to be urgent: a boat trailer with no tail lights on the way home, an A/C that quit in a camper, or a battery that will not start the generator.

What do boat trailer lights and wiring need after a lake weekend?

Water is the enemy of trailer wiring. Plugs, sockets and light housings that get wet corrode from the inside, and a connection that worked on Friday can fail on Sunday. Unplug the trailer before backing into the water, let everything dry, and check the plug for green or white corrosion before you hook up again.

Grounds are the second weak point. A rusty ground connection makes lights dim, flicker or run backwards. We clean or replace grounds, repair damaged wire and replace failed plugs, and tell you what should be fixed now and what can wait.

The lights themselves are the third weak point. Housings fill with water, bulbs fail, and a dead tail light is a ticket waiting to happen. We can replace them with sealed LED lights that hold up to the lake.

What about campers and long-stay visitors at the lake?

Campers and trailers at the lake face heat, dust and wind. A/C units struggle in hot air with a layer of dust on the coils, and awnings can be damaged by sudden gusts. Solar and lithium upgrades are popular with lake campers who want quiet power away from hookups.

If you are boondocking, bring spare filters and know where your breakers and fuses are. A short call can often resolve a simple problem without a visit.

How do I plan a repair near the lake?

Tell us where you are, with a landmark or GPS pin if possible, and send photos of the problem. We can then tell you if we can fix it on site or if you should move closer to the valley or a park.

What should I carry when I head to the lake?

Pack a tire gauge, a spare that you have checked recently, a set of fuses and bulbs, a multimeter and spare A/C and generator filters. Know where your jack and lug wrench live, and test that your trailer lights work before you leave the driveway. Carry plenty of water, because Lake Mead summers are dangerous for people as well as machines.

If you are towing a boat, rinse the plug and light housings with fresh water when you get home and let them dry. Before your next trip, test every light with a helper. A light that is dim or flickering is telling you about a bad ground or a corroding connection.
